TWINSTAR NANO PLUS Aquarium Steraliser & Algae Inhibitor

TWINSTAR  Nano Plus is an intelligent and automatic sterilizer that inhibits the growth of various types of algae, prevents fish disease and promotes healthy plant growth in freshwater aquariums.

TWINSTAR comprises an electronic controller and an electrode, which is placed in water. It successfully sterilizes the algae spores of the following:

• Filamentous green algae
• Brown algae
• Blue-green algae
• Green spots algae
• Green dust algae
• Fuzz algae

TWINSTAR  also improves the quality of water, making it crystal clear.

TWINSTAR  has a huge oxygen dissolution capacity, thereby raising the filtering capacity. 

The unit is equipped with three modes to suit your tank size:

• MODE 1: 50 to 100L
• MODE 2: 100 to 200L
• MODE 3: 200 to 250L

ALGAE INHIBITION EFFECT OF TWINSTAR

TWINSTAR inhibits green algae effectively without harmful influences on the aquarium ecological environment, and keeps aquarium clean by eliminating spores that may otherwise lead to algae outbreaks. Sterilisation is achieved through microbubbles that destroy cell wall of green algae to suppress its growth. TWINSTAR promotes aquatic plants growth by inhibiting green algae growth on plants. The reduction of algae on plants maximises its surface area allowing a higher degree of absorption of excess nutrients to block nourishment of green algae growth. It is non-toxic and harmless to beneficial aerobic bacteria therefore creating a Virtuous Cycle ecological environment.

Difference between beginner and Pro Aquarist.

We do a lot of hard work to inhibit green algae. We need to change water to remove excess nutrients at the beginning, sometimes we control the amount of light too. Then, when it’s not sufficient, we also put shrimp and dozens of fish eat green algae. It might be difficult to put shrimp at the beginning when the plants are yet to establish. Managing trouble efficiently and effectively is the difference between beginner and pro aquarist. WHY ALGAE OCCURS IN THE AQUARIUM

The causes of algae are excessive light, nutrient imbalance, and insufficient levels of Carbon Dioxide. Green algae are the precursor of plants in the evolution process. It shares many characteristics with plants. Because the required elements in algae growth are similar to aquatic plants, a lot of algae will be generated particularly in planted aquarium. From 10 days after setting up, algae will be visible to the naked eye and will be generated in 2 months intensively even in normal management. Generated algae not only take nutrients from plants but also blocks light adversely affecting plant growth.

TWINSTAR promotes plant growth by up to 50%. It increases the amount of light on the surface of plants by inhibiting algae from the beginning. It also activates microelements in the water and makes them more available for the plants. Thus promoting the growth of aquatic plants. 

Under the same conditions, the results of comparative test with Glossostigma and Rotala indica show growth increased by up to 50% and 40% respectively.

Why do plants grow well and faster with TWINSTAR?

‘Law of minimum’ is the most important rule in botany. For plant growth several elements are needed, nutrients, moisture, temperature, light etc. 

If even one of these elements are missing, the growth of plants will be controlled by the insufficient factor.

New soils contain high levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium but limiting microelements. For fast and healthy plant growth, sufficient levels of nutrients must be available. TWINSTAR increases the microelements present in the water.

Its powerful and smart sterilizer for prevention of fish disease inflow irregularly. TWINSTAR kills fish disease or mold spores inflow irregularly from outside or inhibits the growth of them to keep aquarium fish safe. It is designed not to affect important biological balance for preservation of closed ecosystem, so user can manage the aquarium easily and safely, and prevent fish disease.

Fish disease caused by a combination of 3 factors, such as the environment, immunity, and fish pathogens. If the environment, immunity lowered and pathogens increased, fish disease will occur. Pathogens are everywhere in the air or water, or inside of fish body, but healthy fish have immunity against pathogen so that they can’t get a disease. But if water quality declined or water temperature changed drastically, fish’s immunity will decrease and pathogen will increase, then they will have a higher risk of disease.

Aquarium fish´s survival probability is increased. TWINSTAR effectively kills fish disease by strong sterilizing factors, so it doesn’t need to run 24 hours like UV sterilizer. ALC algorithm doesn’t affect aerobic bacteria and help to kill pathogen, so it’s safe. Sterilizing power of UV sterilizer in general aquarium can rapidly drop after 3 months but TWINSTAR keep performance over 12 months.
